SNOW
So, I was awoken this morning around 6:30 by my roommate, needless to say I wasn't a happy camper until she told me to get dressed because it was snowing outside. Baton Rouge got 2-4 inches of now and it accumulated on the ground for a little while. Craziness! It's starting to sleet/rain now, so the snow is probably done for the day. Hopefully the road conditions will clear up before I have to be at my final by 6pm or even work by 3. I can skip work if absolutely necessary though. (Sarah will deal).
This is definitely a good way to end my last finals week of college. I came into my freshman year here with a hurricane and went out wit slight flurries on Christmas day. So, I guess it's only fitting that I came into my last semester with a hurricane and end it with record snowfall in this great state. It definitely is a great good-bye.
Finals week has been crazy. I finished my last test last night at 8:30pm. I have to go to my class at 6:00pm tonight and watch a few project presentation, but I have already presented, so I don't even have to do anything. Then Saturday, I turn in a two page dialogue for my English Lit. class and I'm done! WOOO HOOO!
Everyday should start with snow it puts me in such a good mood.

Finals Week is Upon Us
I'm almost done with this whole college shebang. I've turned in my final paper for Sufism and taken my final in Memory and Forgetting. I have 2 tests and one paper left and I can't wait for them to be over. This week is stressful, but I can finally see the light at the end of my tunnel.
I'm preparing for finals, packing, job searching, and waiting for my family to get into town to see my graduation. It's hectic but at least I'm finally looking forward to something. I have graduation, Christmas, and then I get to move to Texas! YaY!
Sorry if this is a little scattered. I've been up since like 9am yesterday. Woo Hoo for finals.

Taking it a day at a time
It's craziness around here and I'm just trying to take it all one day at a time. This week is going to be horrible! I have 2 tests, a presentation, and a paper all due on Thursday! I'm just praying that I can pull all of this off.
I had an amazing weekend at home with my family. My SIL had her third little girl last week, so I got to meet my newest niece while I was home. Her name is Jaydah Charisma (I know I know!) and she's the cutest little thing in the world! I also got to go to the 3 Rivers Art Festival with my mom and her crazy friends! We had such a good time. I got a really cool kitchen knife and my mom got me this gorgeous dress to wear for my graduation. (Now I just have to graduate!). I also got to spend some time with my dad. I miss my family so much! I don't know what I'm going to do once I move to Texas with Andrew. It's going to be craziness not being able to go home when I want to. Oh well, guess I have to grow up at some point.
Say some prayers or keep me in your thoughts that I can pull this week off!

Bad yet good?
I woke up this morning sick as a dog, but I dragged my butt to class anyway! YaY me for getting there on time too! My second class of the day made me extremely happy that I chose to go to class today. I got my paper back and I got an A- on it! I'm so excited about it because it means that I'm now passing that class and as long as I keep all of my grades where they are (or better of course) I will graduate in December! I have been so stressed out about midterms and trying to make sure I'm getting good grades in all of my classes.
Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I'm starting to plan out what we're doing. I'm going to be going to Texas and spending it with Andrew. I can't wait to see him again. This long distance marriage thing is really starting to get old.

School is kicking my butt.
I'm having such a hard time with school right now. I'm not motivated to do anything. I know that I'm graduating in December and I'm just ready for it to be over with. Since I'm having such a problem getting my work done I've decided that I'm going to stop my Project 365. I will start it back up once I graduate. I'm hoping it'll be even better then because I will have a kick ass camera! At least I hope so. I'm going to ask Andrew if I can have his old camera (the one he originally learned on) so I can learn to take better pictures and truly pursue photography as a hobby.

Pictures YAY!
So, Since I've been slacking around here I've decided to just put up the few pictures that I have edited so far.
The Dallas skyline is in the distance! I'm almost home!
Packing to go to Dallas to see my love. Only two bags for a 4 day trip I'm doing good! Lol. The back pack is all of my school stuff. So only one bag of clothes. GO ME!
Isn't this pretty. It's a hand painted wine glass with a recipe on the bottom. I love it! Andrew found it at the Hallmark store and got it for my birthday.
Graduation is just around the corner Wooo Hooo! This is what keeps me going. I'm getting out of here so I can be with him.

Last Midterm EVER
So, tomorrow I go to take my last midterm ever of my college career! I'm so excited to be getting done with this degree. I know that I will be pursuing a masters degree sometime in the near future, but for now I'm just reveling in being almost done. I'm under two months left here at LSU and counting the days until I graduate. I uploaded all of the pictures for my project 365 up until this point. After this test tomorrow I'm going to take the time to edit them and get them into this blog.

Ugh!
It's midterms week here at LSU and I'm going crazy! I'm just trying to survive this week. I had a terrible weekend in Texas and I just feel like I'm drowning and there is no way out. I have the pictures for my project 365, I just need to edit and post them. That probably won't be happening this week due two 2 tests, 1 quiz, and a paper due all on Thursday! Then I'm going home on Friday to see my mom, sister and nephew. YAY! I'm excited about that at least. Wish me luck and if you see me lurking around the internet this week yell at me please!

Day 15
These are my roommates! They absolutely rock. Today is my birthday and Andrew had to go back to Texas today, so they tried there hardest to make my day work. So far it's still kinda sucky but between them and my lovely CW girls things are really starting to look up.
Sunday Andrew took me out to dinner for my birthday since it was his last night in town. I wish we could have spent more time together, but I know that he can only stay so long. I had a pretty good day. His family threw me a small birthday party, basically just cake and ice cream. My whole family bailed on me which made me pretty bummed, but Andrew stepped up and was an amazing hubby man trying to make up for it.
Saturday
Andrew took my graduation photos on campus! I had such a great time. I can't wait until he gets all of the images edited and I get to pick the ones to put in my announcements and the ones I'm turning into the invite for my graduation party!
We also took Laura and Patrick's engagement photos this day (they're my roommates!). We did some in downtown Baton Rouge near the river and then we went to New Orleans and took some in Audubon Park.
Friday
This is my youngest niece. Her name is Camarah (her mom is crazy!). I got this photo from Andrew's dad and I couldn't help but post it. I think she looks precious.
Thursday!
We FINALLY got a new air conditioner. Our old one was crap and ran seriously all the time. Our last electric bill was like 250 dollars for a small 2 bedroom 2 bath apt. I'm so glad they finally replaced it. Hopefully our electric bill will start going down.

Day 10
Today was crazy I spent it doing homework and cramming for my first midterm. Oh yeah, and cleaning because ANDREW COMES IN ON THURSDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited. He's coming home for my birthday and to take my graduation pictures so I can get my announcements made! I can't wait to see him again. It seems like it's been forever since I've seen him.

Day 7
Sorry for the poor quality these were taken on my phone. This is what I do on my off days. I sit in the basement of Audubon Hall on campus and administer memory experiments to the poor psych students in need of extra credit in their classes!I love it I get at least 3 hours a week of time to sit quietly in a room and look out the windows while reading for my classes. I don't know if you can see it, but there is definitely an article on Serial killers in my lap. I LOVE my serial crimes class that I'm taking. It's probably the most interesting class I've taken at LSU.
After finishing up in the psych lab I got to go home! YaY! I was so excited. I spent the majority of the day with my mom shopping. I'm almost done with my Christmas shopping (yes, I know I'm an over achiever!). And I got to see Peyton this evening before heading back up to school.

Day 4
Everyone meet Moses and Jesus (heysus)! They're the newest editions to our pet family. I think they're adorable! I've always had a love for beta fish. When I was in Jr. high and high school I had beta fish and they were all named Fred. I made it through Fred the 7th. I decided this time that maybe Fred is a cursed name. So, my roommate Laura and I came up with Moses and Jesus when we were driving home from getting them.
Do you serve brains with that?
I honestly wonder if the Marine Corps takes their brains and issues them non-working one upon completion of boot camp. I love my husband dearly. He's an amazing man and a great person, but he just doesn't think things through sometimes. Today he told me that he was going to come to Louisiana for my birthday (YAY!), but that what he was going to do is leave TX on Sunday stay in LA Monday and Tuesday then drive home on Wednesday. Well, the only problem with this is I'm a full time college student and hold a part time job. So, he would drive home on a day I have off, be in town for two days when I have school and work and then drive home on a day I have off. Clearly he didn't think this through before he submitted for leave. So, I'm having him resubmit his leave so he drives down on Thursday is here Friday-Sunday (all days I have off!) and drives home on Monday. Hopefully, he'll remember and I won't have to throttle him :-D.

Day 3
Ok, so I'll come clean I didn't take this picture. My mom emailed it to me today. It's my nephew and since I don't get to see him often and my mom gets to watch him every other Saturday while my sister works, she sends me the pictures! I'm totally jealous that my mom gets to see him so much lol. I love this little man. I got to see him last Friday when I went home for dinner with my mom, stepdad and sister. I can't believe how big he's gotten or how well he's speaking now! He'll be 2 the day that I graduate from college (December 19th!). We're going to have a joint graduation/birthday party for the two of us. I totally bet that I'm the only person graduating from LSU that is having a Toot Toot (Thomas the Tank Engine) party. Lol, oh well let him have his decorations he's two he totally wins.

Day 2
So, I got my first Atta Girls in the mail today! I'm super stoked about them. For those of you who don't know what they are they're similar to the ribbons that our service men wear. They are to commend wives, family members, and friends on a good job on the home front! The one in the purple box is called a Lady Laurel, there are three of these the one that I have is for your service man/woman being wounded in the line of duty. I still remember that day and how terrible that phone call was. I felt the only thing I had to be thankful for was that Andrew was still alive! I can't wait to put them all together and start wearing them.
http://www.attagirlgifts.com/ is the link if anyone wants to check them out!
Day 1
Ok, so I've had blogs before and I always fall behind on them. I'm going to try and stay on top of this one though. So, today is Day 1 of chronicling my last semester in college and my strive to just get the heck out! I'm supposed to be writing a close read essay on Oedipus the King tonight as seen in the picture I haven't even started. Instead I am starting a blog thanks to my CW girls! So, I guess I'll see you tomorrow girls!
