Hippo Birdy to the Hubby Man

Today is Andrew's birthday YAY! He's a quarter of a century and I have been rubbing it in his face that he's getting "old" for weeks now. Why do I see this coming back to bite me when I turn 25 in a few years lol.

Today has been a good day I made him a red velvet cake from scratch along with cream cheese icing from scratch. Just looking at this thing could put you into a diabetic coma or quite possibly a heart attack. Between the frosting and the cake there are 4 sticks of butter 2 cups regular sugar and 4 cups of powdered sugar! Gotta love those Paula Deen recipes.

I received some sad news today about a good friend's mom. She passed away yesterday and it's hitting me pretty hard. Her mom was an amazing woman who I loved dearly and will miss. It's true that you never know what's going to happen and you need to live your life. Use the fine china, don't save something for a rainy day, just go and do. God will provide and you will make it through when times are rough.

I'm back

I know it's been a while since I've posted. Life has been sheer craziness up until now. I graduated from LSU (WOO HOO ME!), went home for Christmas where I managed not to kill any of my family or his (again WOO HOO ME!), and I moved to Texas. The house is still a disaster and I'm still trying to find a place for everything, but it's home. Now, I'm on the job hunt. It's not as easy as it sounds, I've been applying and applying and so far nothing so keep your fingers crossed for me that I find something soon.
