Ten on Tuesday!

Ten on Tuesday on Tuesday this time!!! Lots has been going on around here lately and I thought I would do a quick catch up for everyone.

1. Andrew and I learned to snowboard this weekend. It was fun, but painful the next day. We're hoping to get to go back.

2. Andrew put in his re-enlistment packet. We're still waiting on it to be accepted and him sworn in.

3. The animals have gone crazy! Tango is loving the snow, Sue tried to run away, but came back when her paws hit the snow. Munchkin has decided she should be loud and obnoxious again.

4. Andrew and I are hoping to get to go on a snowboarding weekend this coming weekend with the guys/girls in his class.

5. I started knitting my first sweater this week. I had to frog it and start again.

6. I'm missing home like crazy and hating the cold, but making it work

7. Andrew is still on winter break so he's just been hanging around the house helping me out.

8. Andrew and I got our orders to our next duty station we report between May and June (fun stuff)

9. We're not excited about where we're going, it's not any of our 3 choices.

10. Without further ado, we're going to Camp Lejune North Carolina! (UGH)

New Years Eve and the crazy snow

We had a very low key New Years Eve at the house this year. It was fun to ring in the New Year with Andrew. It's only the second time he's been stateside with me for New Years! We had an eventful evening of Wii games, sparkling wine, and munchies.
Today when we looked outside there was crazy snow! It's still snowing outside right now. The snow was up to the first step out our back door earlier, I'm sure it's even higher now. It was up over the top of my snow boots *burr* That means it's got to be a little over a foot.

Tango is loving to play in the snow. We throw the ball for her and she watches where it lands then digs it out.
Sometimes we have to find it for her because instead of digging it out she buries it. oops.

Who knew that our little TX doggie would be such a snow lover.

Niagara Falls

On our way home from Louisiana we stopped in Niagara Falls. It was definitely beautiful and fun, but it was freaking cold so we didn't stay long. We're hoping to get to go back in the spring/summer. I would love to be able to explore some more. Most of the paths were closed off because of the ice and those that weren't closed off were covered in ice and terrible to walk on. Tango in the hotel room the night before we saw the falls. We got into Niagara around 3 am and slept until check out at 11am.
The first set of falls. They were so pretty. Tango was terrified though.

Look at how scared poor Tango is. She warmed up to them soon enough though

Tango and I both look unamused. It was freaking cold.

The first falls from the other side.

The horeshoe falls. Tango had warmed up to them. I think because we weren't up on a bridge to see these.
Niagara Falls!

Christmas Down in the South

Andrew and I had a great time at home for Christmas. I really wish that we could have gotten to stay longer. Our time was definitely crazy. It just seems to get harder and harder to fit in all of our friends and family into one visit. We still try our best though to get to see everyone.
Hanging the lights at Dad's house and putting up the ornaments in the tree.

Doesn't Ginny look amused.

Andrew did actively participate (he hung ornaments on the tall branches)

We went Christmas lighting on Christmas Eve.

While we were home Andrew took 1st birthday pictures of Jaydah and Christmas Pictures of all three girls.
Ibby, I still can't get over how big she is.

Cami, She definitely had me wrapped around her little finger.

Merry Christmas! Aren't they cuties.

Peyton got a new bike for Christmas.

I love the look of sheer kid joy on his face. I mean seriously what adult do you know who gets so excited over a book.

Experiencing Christmas

Andrew and I had a small Christmas here in Syracuse on the 18th. Why so early you ask, because we headed home to surprise our families for Christmas!!!! They weren't expecting us and some (cough mom cough) made us stand outside and convince them to answer the door. Our Christmas here was fun though. Here are just a few pictures. Recent projects.

I have finished a ton of projects recently. Some large and some small. Here are just a few. My next project I'm working on is going to be a sweater. I got the yarn for the sweater back in October while my mom was here. I've finally finished all the other projects (read projects for everyone else) and can start on one for me.Optical Illusion blanket. I love this blanket it's really just lap sized, but it was an easy knit. I hated giving it away.

Snowman Christmas Ornament

Mitten ornament

Multi-directional scarf. This is the first project I knitted with Noro Yarn. While I LOVE LOVE LOVE the color way, the yarn is spun poorly and had tons of hay in it. I managed to pick out most of the hay, but still, I'll think twice about using it again.
