Dear Westboro Baptist Church,
I think what you do is deplorable. I understand that you have the freedom of speech and the right to assemble, but harassing families who have just lost a loved one is unacceptable. These people are burying the men and women who have fought for your right to protest. These men and women fought for their country and your freedom. You should give them the respect that they have earned and deserved.

I really dislike that I'm so short. In this picture I'm wearing 3 in heels in this picture and I'm still barely over 5 feet tall. I know there is nothing I can do about my height and maybe one day I'll embrace it.

Day 16
Day 16 - A picture of someone who inspires you
As cliche as it sounds, my mom inspires me. She's an amazing, strong woman. She graduated from Tulane with her Bachelor's degree and is currently pursuing her Masters degree at UNO. I hope that when I grow up I can be as ambitious and amazing as my mommy!

Day 15
Day 15 - A picture of something you want to do before you die
I would love to learn to scuba dive. In order to do this I have to overcome my huge fear of drowning. When I was younger and in girl scouts I went down a water slide at camp. When I hit the water I got disoriented and couldn't figure out which way was up. My mom had to jump in fully clothed (shoes and all) and fish me out. She made it in to the water before the lifeguard did. Ever since then I've had a real problem with water where I can't touch the bottom with my feet. I'm hoping that one day I can over come that and enjoy things like snorkeling and scuba diving.

Day 6
Day 06 - A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day
This one actually took a lot of thought. I'm not really sure who I would want to trade places with for a day. I love my life, but I guess if I was going to miss a day of it sometime this year would be perfect since Andrew isn't here. So, anyway If I could trade places with anyone it would be Paula Deen. I just love her. I hope that one day I can cook as well as her and just be as generally fabulous as she is. Really I would love to meet her and pick her brain about cooking.

Day 5
Day 05 - A picture of your favorite memory
The day before Thanksgiving 2009 Andrew and I traveled to NYC with my Dad, Michelle, and Ginny. It was a long and tiring day, but we had a great time and got to see the balloons being inflated for the Macy's parade. The city was crazy and I don't think we'd ever go back the day before Thanksgiving again, but it's definitely an experience I'm glad we got to have.

Missed phone call.
If you've ever been in a relationship with someone in the military you know that sick feeling you get in your stomach when you miss a phone call. I've had that feeling for most of the day now. Thanks to my wonderful AT&T service the phone call never rang through I only got the notice that I had missed a call. AT&T proved to be even more wonderful when I went to check to see if there was a voice mail only to discover that my voice mail box had been deactivated. So, I guess you can say that I was upset for nothing because I can't even prove it was Andrew. I just know that it was a call from a random number at an odd hour so all signs point to it was a call from my husband. I keep hoping he'll call back, but so far nothing he hasn't logged into facebook either. I'm super bummed since I've been sick and could have used a little pick me up.
I guess that tomorrow I will pick myself up by my bootstraps dust myself off and wait for another phone call that hopefully AT&T will let through to my phone or at least let him leave a voicemail so I can hear his voice.

This was basically my night. Lots of cold meds, tissues, and crocheting. I did make it out if the house today, but in my cold medicine induced stupor I forgot to take a picture.

The flu
I think I have the flu and I'm going to whine here for a minute, so if you don't want to hear it don't read it!
When I'm sick I turn into a total baby, yes that's right I admitted it. I'm whiny and cranky and I hate being sick. This is definitely a trial for me with Andrew not being here. He definitely takes good care of me when I'm sick making sure that I don't even have to get off of the sofa. He makes sure that the dogs don't bother me which I think is what I'm most grateful for. I don't want to put the two of them in their crate, but I can't take them sitting on me or licking me when I'm sick. I just want to take a freaking nap!! With him not here I had to drag my own ass to the store to buy cough medicine only to get home and realize I forgot the freaking tissues. Well poo on that I'm using toilet paper I'm not leaving this house again and damn it I want someone to come take care of me!
Ok now off to put on my big girl panties take some more medicine and try not to kill my two crazy dogs who insist on laying on top of me.

1. This picture was taken at the Marine Corps Ball this year.
2. I'm currently trying to distract myself from the fact that Andrew deployed.
3. I'm hoping to do something fun while he's gone. Like travel and get in shape.
4. I love knitting and am glad that it helps to relax me.
5. I'm learning to crochet and made a dinosaur for Andrew to take with him on his deployment.
6. I actually like living in J'ville. Yeah it's mostly because of the people, but I'm glad I have the opportunity to be this independent.
7.I really do have the best friends a girl could ask for.
8.I'm currently in my PJs eating ice cream and watching every season of Sex and the City.
9.I allow my self one pity day per month that Andrew is gone. Today is the first one I'm taking
