Day 7

After finishing up in the psych lab I got to go home! YaY! I was so excited. I spent the majority of the day with my mom shopping. I'm almost done with my Christmas shopping (yes, I know I'm an over achiever!). And I got to see Peyton this evening before heading back up to school.

Day 4

Everyone meet Moses and Jesus (heysus)! They're the newest editions to our pet family. I think they're adorable! I've always had a love for beta fish. When I was in Jr. high and high school I had beta fish and they were all named Fred. I made it through Fred the 7th. I decided this time that maybe Fred is a cursed name. So, my roommate Laura and I came up with Moses and Jesus when we were driving home from getting them.
Do you serve brains with that?
I honestly wonder if the Marine Corps takes their brains and issues them non-working one upon completion of boot camp. I love my husband dearly. He's an amazing man and a great person, but he just doesn't think things through sometimes. Today he told me that he was going to come to Louisiana for my birthday (YAY!), but that what he was going to do is leave TX on Sunday stay in LA Monday and Tuesday then drive home on Wednesday. Well, the only problem with this is I'm a full time college student and hold a part time job. So, he would drive home on a day I have off, be in town for two days when I have school and work and then drive home on a day I have off. Clearly he didn't think this through before he submitted for leave. So, I'm having him resubmit his leave so he drives down on Thursday is here Friday-Sunday (all days I have off!) and drives home on Monday. Hopefully, he'll remember and I won't have to throttle him :-D.

Day 3

Ok, so I'll come clean I didn't take this picture. My mom emailed it to me today. It's my nephew and since I don't get to see him often and my mom gets to watch him every other Saturday while my sister works, she sends me the pictures! I'm totally jealous that my mom gets to see him so much lol. I love this little man. I got to see him last Friday when I went home for dinner with my mom, stepdad and sister. I can't believe how big he's gotten or how well he's speaking now! He'll be 2 the day that I graduate from college (December 19th!). We're going to have a joint graduation/birthday party for the two of us. I totally bet that I'm the only person graduating from LSU that is having a Toot Toot (Thomas the Tank Engine) party. Lol, oh well let him have his decorations he's two he totally wins.

Day 2

So, I got my first Atta Girls in the mail today! I'm super stoked about them. For those of you who don't know what they are they're similar to the ribbons that our service men wear. They are to commend wives, family members, and friends on a good job on the home front! The one in the purple box is called a Lady Laurel, there are three of these the one that I have is for your service man/woman being wounded in the line of duty. I still remember that day and how terrible that phone call was. I felt the only thing I had to be thankful for was that Andrew was still alive! I can't wait to put them all together and start wearing them.
